This is an English version of a letter we feel we need to send to friends and workers in Scandinavia

Date: Wed, 15 Aug 2001

To: Eldon Knudson, Martin Johnsson, Steve Sorenson, Larry Stevens Cc: Jim Atcheson, Bernard Hall, Alton Mose, Bob Dye, Dale Shultz, Kieth Olsen, Lars Lund, Lilly Kershwink, Lloyd Kneesch, Mabel Jacobs, Ron Johnson, Sandra McDermit

I presume that most of you know that because of certain criticism on my part of what I have regarded as extreme unrightness in the workers administration, Eldon, Martin, Steve, and Larry notified us from Stockholm convention that we would not be allowed the breaking of bread in our home in the future. They referred us to the Lows family south of Gothenburg but at the same time very clearly pointed out to me in their presence that Beryl and Alistair Low didn't feel they had got anything spiritual out of fellowship with us the last half a year. This makes it difficult for us to believe that there was any honest intention to make us feel welcome in their home. This is sad for us but a truth that we have no choice but to accept. And we accept it.

We will try to explain this to our children (Ellen who just made her choice at Orsa this year and Rebecka who has taken part in meetings the last year) We will also try to serve and worship God as best we can in our own home and lives with the resources that are available to us. Emma is trying to find her position in it all as she lives in Gothenburg.

Throughout the years we have felt close to quite a number of both workers and friends but unfortunately at this stage feel betrayed by some and in an effort to not disturb those who want to have nothing to do with us have decided to send this letter with the hope that some may feel move to let us know they could feel right about contact with us and/or our family in the future. I have been accused of destroying fellowship so want to leave this choice up to you. We notice some have already made this choice and even if it pains us we are thankful for clearness of position.

Our home is as it has been before, open to all who wish to come and respect our personal longing to serve God according to the faith that he has given us by His spirit.

With hope, Edgar and Mireille Massey

Regarding the enclosure: Seeing that what has happened has happened, I think it reasonable that I ask my name to be removed from the membership list in the following registered organization that has made a fairly unknown effort to be like the other religious organizations in our country. One complaint I have, is that I was NOT present at the meeting of the creation of this organization in 1992 as the formal minutes of the meeting indicate. I was not invited and found out about it only afterward.
